Meghan S. Frost Joins More in Common Alliance

Meghan Frost

ATLANTA and CHICAGO (April 5, 2022) - The More in Common Alliance welcomed Meghan S. Frost as System Vice President, Philanthropy and Campaigns. She will lead fundraising efforts to support the More in Common Alliance, a historic partnership between Morehouse School of Medicine and CommonSpirit, aimed at addressing the underlying causes of health inequities, including lack of representation among care providers.

Announced in December 2020, the More in Common Alliance will address critical gaps in care and increase representation by expanding undergraduate and graduate medical education opportunities, supported by a 10-year, $100 million fundraising campaign.

“We are extremely excited to add Meghan, a purpose-driven fundraiser, to our team,” says Shannon Duval, System Senior Vice President, Philanthropy. “Her experience in emerging medical education programs was significant in our search process, and we found her values in deep alignment with the mission of the alliance to advance health equity.”

Frost brings a unique blend of higher education and health care fundraising experience to the role. Most recently, she served Creighton University Health Sciences as Assistant Vice President for Development, where she exceeded Creighton's initial goal for philanthropy at the new Arizona regional campus, in partnership with CommonSpirit Health.

Before her work at Creighton, Frost held a series of philanthropic leadership roles at Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona and Arizona State University. She has a bachelor of arts in English from Washington and Jefferson College and a master of arts in rhetoric and communications from Ohio University.

"The More in Common Alliance is a groundbreaking partnership that will significantly expand opportunities, not only for aspiring doctors but also the communities they will serve," said Harvey Green, Morehouse School of Medicine Senior Vice President of Institutional Development and Advancement. "Ms. Frost is a proven leader in philanthropy, particularly in the realms of health care and higher education, and we look forward to working with her as the Alliance moves into its next phase."

Frost will report to the new Chief Administrative Officer for the Alliance.

The first students to participate in the program were placed at CommonSpirit's CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., in September 2021. Additional students will arrive at sites in Lexington, Ky. and Seattle, Wash., in 2022. Concurrently, Morehouse School of Medicine is seeking accreditation for three new graduate medical education programs in California and transferring the academic sponsorship of a graduate medical education program in Los Angeles.
